Three full-time four-year paid PhD positions are available for theology and religious studies at the School of Theology and Religious Studies, University of Tartu.

University of Tartu invites applications for doctoral studies from future researchers and top professionals.

The event will take place on 23 April at 16.15.

On Friday, April 5, at 16:15 - opening of the exhibition "Kant 300 in Tartu: from manuscripts to heaven" at the university library. The exhibition features original manuscripts of the philosopher's lecture courses and correspondence, as well as first editions of his works from the collections of the University of Tartu Library.

On 8 April, the conference “Out of the Shadows. Unearthing Women’s Stories of the Past” will be held in the main building of the University of Tartu.

Andreas Johandi, Research Fellow in Near Eastern Religions at the School of Theology and Religious Studies, was awarded the Humboldt Research Fellowship to focus on researching the Pantheon of the ancient city-state of Umma at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich.

The Bachelor’s Degree Ceremony of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities takes place on Thursday, 17 June, at 14.00 in the University of Tartu assembly hall (Ülikooli 18).

Master’s degree ceremony of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities takes place on Thursday, 20 June at 13.00 in the University of Tartu assembly hall (Ülikooli 18).

The theme week, running from 5 to 11 February, will include a social media campaign highlighting the work and achievements of women researchers.

From 29 January to 2 February, the international winter school "Survivance and Survival:  Theory and Method" will focus on the question of the survival of humanity by looking at it from the perspective of the humanities.

At the Career Day, students will have the chance to ask questions directly to our many internship partners, who represent museums, cultural institutions, and companies. You can learn about the available internship opportunities, the application process, the roles available for international students, and more. In addition to the fair, workshops will be available where you can get advice on finding a job or an internship.

The University of Tartu will organise its alumni get-together with the slogan “Back to the university” on 18 May 2024. Early-bird tickets at special rates are available from 1 December.
