PhD Studies

The PhD programme in Theology has two specialist fields: Theology and Religious Studies. For theology the applicant has to have a Master’s degree in Theology, Religious Studies is open to everyone with a Master’s degree. Studies can be completed fully in English.

Full-time PhD students receive a salary of a Junior Research Fellow. Admission typically takes place once a year, in spring time. However, depending on financing opportunities it is occasionally possible to create additional Doctoral positions throughout the year. These can deal with any specific focus. In case you are interested, please contact the Faculty members specializing in the fields you are interested in.
