The Estonian Society for the Study of Religions, in cooperation with the University of Tartu, will host the IAHR Summer School "Study of Religion Without an Object? Global Perspectives" on 19–21 August 2026 in Tartu, Estonia. The workshop is an official event of the International Association for the History of Religions (IAHR) and is partially funded by the IAHR.

Call for applications for Three Rectors’ Scholarship competition 2025/26 is now open
All full-time students of the University of Tartu, the University of Latvia and Vilnius University may apply for the 2,000-euro scholarship if their proficiency in one of the Baltic countries’ languages is at least at C1 level and in the other two languages at least at A2 level. Visiting international students who study at one of the three universities in both semesters of this academic year may also apply.

University of Tartu semioticians Andreas Ventsel and Mari-Liis Madisson, along with Junior Research Fellow in Information Resilience Diana Poudel, have developed tools for enhancing critical digital literacy in cooperation with international partners.
